Stepp Service Provider General Terms and Regulations

Welcome to Stepp! By registering and providing services through our platform,
you agree to comply with these General Terms and Regulations. These terms govern your relationship with Stepp and outline the responsibilities and expectations for service providers using the Stepp app.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. By accepting these terms, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by them.
1. Eligibility
- To be eligible to provide services through Stepp, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Legally permitted to work in your respective country.
- Possess relevant skills and experience for the services you wish to provide.
- Successfully complete the required registration and verification process with Stepp, including identity checks (if applicable).
2. Registration and Account Responsibilities
Account Information:
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information during the registration process, including your personal details, professional qualifications, and banking information. You must ensure that your account is updated with any changes to your information.
Account Security:
You are responsible for safeguarding your account login credentials and agree to notify Stepp immediately of any unauthorised access or use of your account. You must not share your account or login information with anyone else.
Sole Account Use:
Each service provider must maintain their own individual account. You are prohibited from allowing others to provide services on your behalf using your account.
3. Service Expectations and Conduct
As a service provider, you are expected to:
Provide services with professionalism and care.
Ensure that all services you deliver meet high-quality standards and align with customer expectations.
Follow customer instructions and requests.
Complete the tasks according to the details specified by the customer in the app, and communicate clearly if there are any issues or changes needed.
Be punctual and reliable.
Arrive at the scheduled location on time and complete the service within the agreed-upon timeframe.
Communicate respectfully.
Maintain a courteous and professional tone when interacting with customers and Stepp support staff. Abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
You are responsible for ensuring that the services you provide comply with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as industry-specific regulations.
Use Stepp tools and resources responsibly.
You must use the Stepp appʼs features, including customer communication and tracking, in accordance with these terms. Misuse of the app or any fraudulent behaviour will result in account suspension or termination.
4. Payment and Earnings Withdrawal
Earnings:
You will receive payments for services completed through the Stepp platform. Earnings are calculated based on the agreed-upon service rates and the duration of the job.
Payment Processing:
Payments for services are processed securely through Stripe. You are responsible
for ensuring that your payment information is accurate and up to date.
Withdrawal of Earnings:
Stepp does not collect your bank details. Instead, all payment processing and fund transfers will be handled through Stripe, which will manage the necessary banking information to facilitate earnings withdrawal.
Payment Errors:
Stepp is not liable for any delays or failed payments caused by incorrect or incomplete payment information provided by you. If there is an error, you must correct your payment details with Stripe.
5. Performance and Ratings
Customer Ratings:
Your performance as a service provider will be rated by customers after each job. It is important to maintain a high level of service to receive favorable reviews and improve your chances of being matched with future customers.
Performance Monitoring:
Stepp reserves the right to monitor your performance and customer feedback. Repeated complaints, poor ratings, or failure to complete jobs satisfactorily may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.
6. Service Provider Restrictions
As a Stepp service provider, you agree to the following restrictions:
No subcontracting: You must personally complete all tasks assigned to you and may not delegate jobs to others.
No solicitation of customers outside the platform: You must not contact Stepp customers directly to offer services outside of the app.
Prohibition on illegal or prohibited services: You may not use the Stepp platform to offer or engage in illegal or unauthorized services, such as selling goods, offering medical or healthcare services without proper licensing, or any services that violate Steppʼs policies.
7. Account Suspension and Termination
Suspension:
Stepp may suspend your account if you fail to comply with these Terms and Regulations, receive multiple negative reviews, or engage in inappropriate conduct. During suspension, you will not be able to accept jobs or access earnings.
Termination:
Stepp reserves the right to permanently terminate your account for severe or repeated violations of these terms. Termination may result in the forfeiture of any unpaid earnings at Steppʼs discretion.
Voluntary Termination:
You may deactivate your account at any time. However, you must complete all outstanding services and resolve any pending customer complaints before deactivating your account.
8. Insurance and Liability
Insurance Coverage:
Stepp does not provide insurance for service providers. You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any necessary insurance coverage for your work, including liability insurance for personal injury, property damage, or other risks.
Liability:
Stepp is not responsible for any damage, loss, injury, or harm caused by your actions while providing services. You agree to indemnify Stepp against any claims or legal actions resulting from your services.
9. Changes to Terms and Regulations
Stepp reserves the right to modify these Terms and Regulations at any time. You will be notified of significant changes via the Stepp app or other communication channels. Continued use of the platform after such changes signifies your acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Dispute Resolution
Customer Disputes:
If a dispute arises between you and a customer, you agree to cooperate with Stepp in resolving the matter. Stepp reserves the right to mediate disputes and may issue refunds or adjustments to customers at its discretion.
Stepp Disputes:
If you have a dispute with Stepp, you must notify us in writing, and we will attempt to resolve the issue informally. If a formal resolution is needed, disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable laws.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Regulations are governed by applicable international laws and the laws of the countries where you provide services. Any disputes or legal claims arising from your use of the Stepp platform or these Terms and Regulations will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in those jurisdictions.
